Too Small, Too large, Just Right Rugs

Here are a few guidelines to help you choose the right size for your room:

Dining Rooms – general rule is to add 24″-30″ from edge of table for chair room. If you have 36″ even better,  you can certainly pull your chair out comfortably.  You should have at least 8″ of floor space between rug and wall, ideally 12″-18″.

Bedroom – Extend rug 12″-18″ around the bed, in proportion to the size of the bed.

Living Rooms – All furniture can be on rug or off rug and under coffee table. In extra large rooms you may use more than one rug to create different conversation areas.
