Master Retreat

A Master Bedroom should be a special retreat where you are surrounded by things you love. Custom Bedding, Window Treatments, and pillows complement this beautiful furniture and take it to the next level!   The wall between the windows was the perfect spot for the bed in this master bedroom. We decided to do assymetrical window treatments, not only to have enough wall space for the bed but to accent it. Because there were already so many wood tones in the room, we chose to use an antique gold finish for the beautiful drapery hardware. Two Story Windows

I am often asked what window treatments to do on a two story window.  The first question is always the same: do they need to be functional? In this case we determined that only the lower windows needed light and privacy control and that was easily accomplished with shutters.  The fabric window treatments would be stationary and for the purpose of adding color, texture, interest and warmth to the room, and to accent the beautiful large window.  We did panels at each end of the triple window to keep the expanse of the window open and to frame the window. Pets are People Too

I saw this adorable bed at a home show and it reminded me of the saying that “pets are people too”.   The lucky pet to share this bedroom will certainly feel like they are not only people, but royalty. Custom bedding and pillows complete the royal look.  I say go all the way – monogram the pillows and add side curtains to the bed, pulled back to the corner posts 🙂   What a way to give your special pet a next level look!
